Another product you might consider is WebCheckout http://www.softscout.com/software/E-mail-Messaging-and-Collaboration/Calendaring-and-Scheduling/WebCheckout.html
I don't use it, as ASU uses the Materials Booking Module in the Innovative Interfaces integrated library system. So I cannot speak to it's capabilities, etc. I seem to recall that WebCheckout was developed for/by the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. -- deg farrelly, Associate Librarian Arizona State University PO Box 37100 Phoenix, Arizona 85069-7100 Phone: 602.543.8522 Email: [email protected] Subject: videolib Digest, Vol 28, Issue 78 Does anyone have any leads on software programs that can be used to do advance booking for media and equipment? I have heard of a program called Medianet by Dymaxion, but I have no idea of the cost involved. Other than that I have no clue about what is available and how much it might cost. I need to come up with some kind of dollar figure quickly to plug in to a budget line for next year. Any help would be appreciated. VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
