It was a great experience for me indeed as a first timer. How wonderful to meet
people in person on both sides of the spectrum, librarians and the publishers,
whom I communicate with everyday by email, fax or mail. I was lucky to meet
with Christine Crowley and use her knowledge and expertise in the field. I even
found a fellow Wagnerite among the publishers' representatives. We talked a lot
about Wagner operas over breakfast. Finally, I have to mention how much I
enjoyed the free beer everyday! So, thank you all, organizers and attendees for
making this a wonderful experience for me.

It was, indeed, a great show! I saw so many things we will start to order this
week. And I got to meet my San Antonio colleague Farhad Moshiri who works
across town but our paths had never met! I lived in KC for many years and it
was good to be back among friends and former colleagues. Looking forward to
next year. For those of you who have not attended NMM, try to budget for it.
It is a really good return on investment. I cannot endorse it enough.

Ursula, put me down on your list to volunteer next year!

I very much wish to echo Bev's comments. This was the first time I ever
attended the Market, and I have
to say it was the best (and most enjoyable!) professional conference I have
attended in years.
Many thanks to all the many "sellers" with whom I spoke with who were so
gracious with their time and
their advice. Likewise, my fellow "buyers". And a most special thanks, of
course, to Ursula for
doing such an exemplary job in putting it all together.

See you next year in Kansas City! To be sure!!

Cheers,
Anthony

This is just a short note telling everyone who reads this what a wonderful
Market we had last week in Kansas City. The hotel was great, the city was
great and the Market itself was terrific. Most of all, I want to thank Ursula
for the tremendous job she did coordinating the entire Market. I cannot say
enough about how well it ran, due to her diligence and follow up of the
smallest detail. I have been to many, many Media Markets and it just keeps
getting better and better each year.
Hope to see all again in Kansas City next year.
