A pricing discussion at NMM would certainly be lively but I doubt it would accomplish much. Each company must work out their own prices based on a host of factors. You know it is complicated when there are graduate level classes and Nobel Prizes for pricing models. However, from more of a fun standpoint, I may not be apposed to putting one of FIlm Ideas' titles up for sale based on a "pay what you feel you can" bases just to see what happens. Something may be learned. I'd only do it if the collective wisdom didn' think that was totally, for lack of a better word, stupid.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
