Anne, We circulate calculators, camcorders, e-readers, laptops and a projector primarily from our Media Center. After the Media Center closes, equipment is checked out from the Circulation Desk.
Our Systems (IT) Dept. is responsible for upkeep and upgrades. They choose replacements with input from Media Center staff. We're able to meet the demand for use of our existing equipment but we have a short survey going to find out what students would like to have available for checkout. (main circ desk, media lab, other?) What department/individual manages the equipment? Is that same department/person responsible for recommending models to purchase? Do you have trouble keeping up with patron demand for these devices?
