Does anyone know if the 1954 version of Huis Clos (No Exit) directed by Jacqueline Audry<http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0041642/?ref_=tt_ov_dr> is in public domain? A faculty member found it listed on a site with the disclaimer : Most of the films available on this site have fallen into the public domain and do not infringe on any intellectual property rights. Other films are under the copyright of their respective owners. Movies are sold on a collector to collector basis, no rights are given or implied. If you believe a film offered on this site infringes on an existing copyright, please contact us with proof of ownership and the title will be removed at once. They are selling it as a DVD-R with no artwork or case. I told her I believed it is a bootleg copy, but she wanted to know how I could be sure that it is not in public domain.
