Hi Lorraine, I have also searched for this film over the past four to five years since it is regularly put on reserve for classes. This year I put in a search and find request to Kanopy and received the following response:
We have taken a look into this title and unfortunately we will need to cancel this request with you now as the rights owners have gone out of business and we will be unable to add this title to Kanopy at this time. We hope this changes in the future and if we have any updates we will be sure to let you know. This in addition to the difficulty of finding even a viable used copy is for me clearance enough to copy to DVD as soon as we fill our sadly vacant a/v tech staff position. The Guangxi studio edition (Fox Lorber released on VHS in in 1988) has English subtitles. Sue Driscoll Davis Family Library Middlebury College
VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
