Thanks everyone! Nice to know I’m not the only one who cannot locate the title.
And thank you Jennifer. I had not heard of those other two sources, the JP source is sold out and the CH source is not clear whether there would be subtitles. The Tower VHS is 99$! Never even thought of Tower Video. The distributor is Wellspring, and they are long gone; although interesting that none of the copies I found had Wellspring as distributor. Informative article from 2006 from Indiewire on the state of Art House distribution. http://www.indiewire.com/2006/02/as-wellspring-closes-examining-the-state-of-the-art-house-distribution-77107/ I’ll try one of these and see what happens. As always, I appreciate all the replies. I learn so much. This year I put in a search and find request to Kanopy and received the following response: We have taken a look into this title and unfortunately we will need to cancel this request with you now as the rights owners have gone out of business and we will be unable to add this title to Kanopy at this time. We hope this changes in the future and if we have any updates we will be sure to let you know. This in addition to the difficulty of finding even a viable used copy is for me clearance enough to copy to DVD as soon as we fill our sadly vacant a/v tech staff position.
