Very interesting! May I suggest that "my-vm-check-for-attachment-regexp" should be a list of regexps instead of one regexp? For example, ( "I've attached" "see \(the \)?attachment" "\(attached\|enclosed\|included\) \(file\|image\|picture\|document\)" ) A list like this is easier to read & maintain than a single regexp, and it may reduce false positives in messages like "Hi, I'm a psychologist who researches attachment" or "The hip bone is attached to the thigh bone."
