Yes It would be nice to use some prepackaged icons, but it looks like a
complicated method used by GPSDrive - it seems to access them via a Perl layer
of code.
However for expediency we should extend our current method, so it's better for
end users.*
After all the icons in Debian are listed as public domain - hence we can freely
reuse them.
*End users such as myself!
Note: I myself don't like our 'large icons', as when there's many on screen -
they are just too large. *However* since my Garmin produces Blue Flags for
routes (and waypoints I create tend to be flags/boxes) I always run with the
large icons so that I can see them - as they are missing from the current small
set.
