Are you certain the messages are coming to the address you think they're coming to? If you check the message headers the first of the Received lines may say something like this (from my own mailbox): Received: from [some machine and IP address here] by soc.aniteps.com (8.13.6/8.13.1) with ESMTP id k3BMlfw6008636 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 11 Apr 2006 23:47:41 +0100 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ That's the address the message was sent to, even though that's not the address on messages I send out. It's an old address that is processed by the same server and ends up in my main account. If I wanted to unsubscribe from that list I'd have to send out a message with the old address on it.
