Bug i_CTRL-X s and arrow

Hello,

  version 7.0.1
  gvim --noplugin -u NONE -U NONE
  and type ifooey and do i_CTRL-X s

  Message at bottom will say: "match 1 of 100" 
  Hit <up-arrow> 
  Message at bottom will say: "Back at original"

  BUT BUG:  1) word in buffer is Phooey (not original word).
            2) <esc> will result in buffer having Phooey in it.

  REQUEST:  Personally, when I hit i_CTRL-X s, I would like to be
            "back at original" -- meaning, after hitting i_CTRL-X s,
            I would actually like to be at where i_CTRL-X s<C-P>
            would take me with the _present_ executable.
