I tried writing a mail to both maintainers listed on the page
http://www.vim.org/huh.php

However I didn't get any feedback.

I'd like to add a page providing a list of plugins only.
This list is generated by parsing all 2900 script html files over and
over again which is a waste of time, cpu cycles and bandwidth.

I know MySQL, I know PHP. I'd like to implement this feature.

I think Vim has an active community. So it deserves an active homepage.
Active means that you have a chance to interactively talk to script
authors and other users.

What I mean is:
You have a plugin. You load up a buggy version by accident. People try
it. They vote with "unfullfilling". The author doesn't know why. The
author has fixed the bug.. Still the rating is bad.
So this system is kind of outdated. There must be a bug tracker like
thing. Eg only allow bad votes when also writing about the reason.
Then the author can close such problems.

Also I know about 3 different implemntations adding side markers for
erroneous lines in quickfix: tlib,
http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=2653
and eclim.

Don't we want some sharing of code? So I think there must be a way to
tidy things up on www.vim.org. Eg by saying "Consider using plugin x/y
instead" or by having a wiki like page for each plugin users can put
comments on which helps users diced whether they want completion feature
A or completion feature B.

There are more cases where users do reinvent the wheel. Probably you
know a lot yourself. What's the reason for it?
