Bram,

I use X11 with clipboard=unnamed, unnamedplus. Presently, if I want to write to both @*
and @+, I have to do let @+=foo | let @*=@+ or something similar, and
setreg(v:register, foo) only sets the plus register. I introduced a new register,
@&, that writes to both * and + using either let @&=foo or setreg(v:register,
foo). I attached the patch. If you think it's a good idea, I'll update the
documentation as well.

Thanks,
Jake

Is that register write-only or can you read it? And if you can, what do you get when you do, and:
- @+ is empty but @* isn't
- @* is empty but @+ isn't
- neither is empty but their contents are different
?

Also, what's the difference with :set clipboard=unnamed, unnamedplus ?

Best regards,
Tony.

All most men really want in life is a wife, a house, two kids and a car,
a cat, no maybe a dog. Ummm, scratch one of the kids and add a dog.
Definitely a dog.
