I have written a similar patch: https://bitbucket.org/k_takata/vim-ktakata-mq/src/0efe89890d7a1b3979d228561e867fe4fb9e75a5/remove-client-edge.patch?at=default This patch checks if the Visual Style (WinXP or later) is enabled. I think the flat design fits with Visual Style, but some people might not like the flat design. Should we add a flag to 'guioptinon' to enable/disable the edge?
