Maybe you should try :set guifont=Consolas:h8:cANSI or
:set guifont=Consolas:h12:cANSI This is how I put it in my _gvimrc file. It is a great font, I agree with that. But after a few hours working with a color scheme that has a dark backgroud I found that Terminal font for Windows is much easy on the eyes. Maybe because True Type fonts are so smooth in GVim that I tire quickly. Bitmap fonts have much more definition, specially under small sizes. But, I have to say, Consolas is a great font. A good job from Microsoft (finally!). 2008/12/11 TheTR <[email protected]>: > > Stumbled onto the following while trying to solve problem in same > area: > > http://www.scribd.com/doc/515769/my-vimrc-for-gvim-running-on-Windows > > where the author uses the font Consolas downloadable here: > http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=22e69ae4-7e40-4807-8a86-b3d36fab68d3&displaylang=en > (which I find better than the rest I've tried (under Windows)) > > with the _vimrc line: > set guifont=Consolas:h12 > > The issue with the mono fonts still stands - if nor no reason other > than that the font choice dialog lists only mono fonts... > > theTR > > > > -- Alessandro Antonello --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist.
