Well, I'll be 58 years old next month, and I prefer white background in gvim as well as in SeaMonkey, and light yellow in konsole. I'm at the computer all day long (except when I sleep or shop) and I haven't noticed any eye strain so far. I suppose my almost-58-years-old eyes must still be of "the youngest". Strange that I'm getting presbytia (from Greek "old age") which makes me wear reading glasses (and I need them just as much for looking at a light-grey-on-black Linux console). Ever heard that a fact is stronger than a Lord Mayor? Who are you to "decide" that any one except young children "must necessarily" get eye strain from looking at light-background screens? I may admit that some people "prefer" the one or the other, but "must get eye strain"? Piffle! > paper-white screens is the result of Apple Corp. brainwashing some > decades > ago. The square kicks some cats are on stay with them; The hip bits, like, go down under; so let it lay with Caesar. The cool Brutus Gave you the message: Caesar had big eyes; If that's the sound, someone's copping a plea, And, like, old Caesar really set them straight. Here, copacetic with Brutus and the studs, -- for Brutus is a real cool cat; So are they all, all cool cats, -- Come I to make this gig at Caesar's laying down. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist.
