Don't know about TFT (what does it mean?) but one advantage of LCD over
CRT is that the LCD is wired right in the screen layer, for each pixel
separately (which means there's no way a pixel, or part of it, can move
off). My former CRT's cannons, or their rays, moved slowly over the
years, so that the red and green were more and more out of sync, by
several millimeters at the end, until one day there was finally no red
at all -- that's when I bought my current flat screen, whose display is
perfectly crisp, even for the size-6 font I use for browser/mailer menus
(with the extensions I have, some menus can get very long).
