Compiz is a compositing window manager. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compositing_window_manager For a compositing window manager, drawing a watermark on every window is more or less easy. I suppose that writing an extension for compiz so it draws a watermark on every window shoudn't be so hard. It may even be already done :?
