Thank you for your answer Tony. If you have ever used the Windows cmd console, you have probably suffered from the difficulty to copy/paste a file name (which is simply obtained by double-click + middle mouse on all unix terminals). You must first right click to activate "Mark", then select, then enter to copy (or right mouse), then right-mouse agian and choose Paste. For short file names, it is quicker to simply type the file name ! I discovered recently (on Cygwin mailing list), that the situation can be greatly improved by checking "Quick Edit Mode" (Mode d'édition rapide if you have the French version). Just click on the "C:\" icon at the top left corner of the console and choose "Properties/Options/Quick Edit Mode". Now copy/paste is obtained by just double-cliking + right mouse twice (almost as quick as in unix). Unfortunately, when this option is activated, mouse control is no longer possible in console Vim, probably because the console snatches the mouse click before it reaches Vim (as you say). I just wanted to know if there were a work-around to cure this unplesant behaviour. Best regards Jean Johner -- You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist. Do not top-post!
