This seems to be the case (that it's ungrabbable by Vim since Windows snatches it). Tested with both mousemodel=popup and mousemodel=popup_setpos: Type Ctrl+Q (Ctrl+V if you've overridden the 'paste' shortcuts) Then click in the Vim cmd console. In "Quick Edit" mode, the ^V prompt remains. Without it, Vim receives the console mouse information. > I just wanted to know if there were a work-around to cure this > unplesant behaviour. Apparently not without code changes, and probably not even then. cmd.exe is a horrible terminal emulator. Right now I only have Windows temporarily since a new PC I bought had Windows 7 installed. When I was using Windows more frequently (a long time ago), I found Console2[1] to be a better alternative. I also found using rxvt-unicode via Cygwin/X[2] to be far superior to both options. The setup is much more complicated (unless you already have Cygwin installed) but the benefits are well worth it if you prefer a *nix-style environment. -- Best, Ben [1] Console - http://console.sf.net/ [2] Cygwin/X - http://x.cygwin.com/ -- You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist.
