Dear Mattcintosh, I just joined the vintage group because I have a long-term problem that, judging by your email, you might know how to solve (though I can't really tell because, frankly, I don't know what NAS or AFP or most other computer terms mean, for which I apologize in advance).
Anyway, I have a Mac Performa with system 7.5 software and my simple goal is to get files off the old computer onto a new computer. If you have any suggestions about this -- or if you know someone in the L.A. area who could set me up to do this for a reasonable fee -- I would be deeply appreciative (especially if the information could be geared for the layperson)! Thanks! On Thu, Apr 16, 2009 at 8:16 AM, mattcintosh <[email protected]> wrote: > > Find a NAS that supports AFP. I bought one a couple years ago for > about $100 and it has a 120 gig drive in it.
