Find a NAS that supports AFP. I bought one a couple years ago for
about $100 and it has a 120 gig drive in it. It supports Windows, Mac,
Linux & FTP. Some other ones will even do http. As for this unit, it
will show up in the chooser and you can log into it from pretty much
every machine. It just hooks up to your network on an ethernet port. I
have one of those ethernet to localtalk adapters and this device works
fine with that. Its pretty weird seeing a shared drive on a SE FDHD
with over 100 gigs of space on it. Or just install freenas
http://www.freenas.org/
on an old windows box (it supports AFP)
