Some old SCSI drives have thin resistor sockets that are flat against the
circuit board. They're black and perfectly flat with sharp corners. The
resistors that plug into the edge of the socket can be yellow, blue, or brown,
sometimes black, and are usually bumpy with rounded corners, though there are
also some with a molded instead of dipped covering that's also flat with sharp
corners.

Laying flat against the board.
