Hi,
My favorite "bridge" machine is the Powerbook 1400. You can usually
get a floppy module and a CD reader (check ebay). They are nice
because they have 2 PC slots which can accommodate a wireless card or
an ethernet card - making internet access pretty easy. Check this at
Low end Mac - http://lowendmac.com/pb2/powerbook-1400.html

I've used mine to get items either from a newer mac or the net to run
my more vintage 680xx machines.

Just my 2 cents...
