Hey guys, I scored some old Mac hardware this morning, most notable of course being the systems in the title. I got one Apple II Plus and two Apple IIe's. The Apple IIe's are pretty beat up, but the innards *look* OK.
The Apple II Plus is of course the one I'm most interested in. The guy claimed it works, but I sure enough can't get it to do anything. It also came with a 9" monochrome green monitor, which when powered on, just has a bunch of lines that scroll up and down the screen. Is that normal? When I power the II Plus up, I get a whole lot of nothing. You can vaguely tell its running, but no startup sound and nothing on the screen. I can wiggle the video cable and it kind of acts like it wants to display something, but that could just be this monitor. Is there any hope at all in getting this thing going based on what I've described? Or is it not worth the effort? If not, do either of these three (namely, the II Plus) have any value? I'd actually love to do something with the mainboard on the Plus if not. So what say we? What are my options? FWIW, I also got two disk ] [ drive's, neither of which I know if they work or not.
