Thank you for posting that link.  Simply put, the list is "A group for 
680x0-based Mac users."  No offense, but I've never quite understood where all 
the confusion stems from myself, seeing as how that same link you've 
thoughtfully provided is at the bottom of every post on the list.  

Yes, I can see how a machine older than five years might be considered a 
"vintage" machine in a world where a machine is rendered obsolete before you 
can even get it out of the box. :)  I'm just not clear on why people don't give 
the FAQ a good going-over before they take the plunge so they don't wind up on, 
say, a "Vintage Macs List" comprised exclusively of  70-year-old-plus guys 
named "Mac" swapping Helpful Whittling Tips or something. ¬ _¬
