In SL, Apple ripped out support for the older revs of AFP, as well as the rest of the bits of AppleTalk (printing, etc). Apparently Apple broke quite a bit here. I'm seeing problems talking to all sorts of AFP machines. Seems like the only stable AFP transfers are between two SL machines or to a TC box, fully updated. Haven't heard boo one from Apple wrt fixing this mess.
