I was fortunate enough to recently aquire a Mac Classic II in very, very good condition. I'm considering opening the case to install a network card but reluctant because the machine is so pristine. Before I do something I'm going to regret I figured I'd ask this list a few questions:
1. Is it possible to install a network card in a Classic II? 2. Will the network card in my Performa 6400 work in the Classic II? I don't know the exact model number of the card in my Performa but I know the brand is Asante and it works perfectly in the Performa. I have it connected to an older 10baseT compatible router which is connected to my gigabit router and it works flawlessly. I'm considering scrapping the 6400 altogether if I can get the network card installed and functioning in the Classic II. Thanks for all your help! -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
