It doesn't apply to a 7300 to Mac+ connection but you should know. . . Tiger on your G4, running Tiger, will not communicate using file sharing over AppleTalk. That capability was terminated with Tiger. If your OS 9.2 machine has been told to use AppleTalk over Internet protocol, as it has to be to talk to Tiger, you may have disables file sharing over AppleTalk. You might also be aware that, for a two machine AppleTalk connection all you need is an Apple printer cable to connect the two machines. The Farallon stuff, with its two wire multiplexing and 110 ohm terminators is needed if you want a true bus that connects multiple computers and printers. -- --> From the U S of A, the only socialist country that refuses to admit it. <-- -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
