An idea no one else has mentioned : a scsi to memory card adapter,
could put on the scsi bus and rig it as a card reader.

I have found the external SCSI zip drives to be horribly slow, however
if you are lucky enough to find an internal one put in a normal
external scsi drive box they work really well. Don't ask me why.
Another option for that I have consider is actually installing one
internally, but you would have to figure out a faceplate which of
course wouldn't be stock, and if you don't have a spot then possibly
using the floppy bay - I have put hard drives in floppy bays before.
