RE: YOUR BELOW COMMENT ON mAC os 7.6 SLEEP MODE I don't know how to get it out of sleep mode EXCEPT to hit the power key Hitting any key on the keyboard or clicking the mouse does not bring it out of sleep mode How do you do it? Do you think the hard drives are "powering down" when you choose sleep mode on a 7300/200 Mac running system 7.6? Are they power down on the Dell Dimension 8400 running XP when choosing "standby"? While we are at it......a 7300 Mac is newer than a 7200 Mac, right.....but are they equally functional? I use my 7300/200 and am happy with it BUT I also have a 7200/120 and a 7600/132 If an when my 7300 fails, could I work on moving everything over to either of the above other boxes (with the same functionality) I have. I noticed there is a "daughtercard" that has the cpu/also has an accelerator on it I believe to 233mhz. I am thinking I could just move that daughtercard from the 7300/200 to the 7200/120 or the 7600/132 as well as other PCI cards I have there (I have a fast and wide SCSI Card) as well as the 512mb of memory and have everything work, WILL THAT work? Are they compatible?. Does that make sense? Other issue: I have been unable to find EXTERNAL F/W SCSI hard drives and cables.....looks like those have dried up. @Bigclaim: I don't think you've understood properly. The sleep mode as it functions on the Power Mac 7300 is EXACTLY the way it is supposed to work.
