The LaserWriter 4/600 has only a LocalTalk port. If you have a USB- serial port adapter, you can use an Apple System/Peripheral 8 cable to connect the printer to the adapter and plug that into the iBook's USB port. The alternative is to get hold of a LocalTalk-Ethernet bridge, such as the AsantéTalk. Farallon also made a similar product, which, if I remember rightly, was called the iPrint. You'll need a LocalTalk cable to connect the printer to the bridge and an Ethernet crossover cable to connect the bridge to the iBook. -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
