Hey, thank you for asking! I've had problems with SCSI on a Macintosh
Plus, and I'd like to know what's wrong. I have access to a
PocketHammer525FMF (a little over half a gigabyte) and a PowerUser
drive that reads ~270 Mb hard disk cartridges. I've been able fairly
often to mount and use the PowerUser drive on the Plus, though rarely
managed to boot from it. The PocketHammer has never mounted, though it
works alright on a PowerBook 170.

This Mac was actually a 128K, originally, and was at some point
upgraded to a Plus. It became a company computer, then it was archived
for more than a decade. Last week, I took the shrink-wrap off and
started messing with it. Though it didn't work at first, it lives now!
(thanks to my brother for his help)

It now runs Macintosh System 6.0.8, Pyro!™, MacPaint, and MacWrite
from an 800K floppy disk. I highly recommend Pyro!™ for anyone wanting
to put a password-enabled screensaver for very old macs. Does anyone
know if it would work on a 128K?

Thank You,
anthonyschr
