I can say the dishwasher method will temporarily make the unit usable but the capacitors are done. It's just a matter of when. If you take it apart clean in washer then have them replaced then it will last a long time.

There should be a little hole just to the right of the floppy drive opening. Straighten a paperclip and then insert. Push firmly. You may have to try a few times to hit the "eject button" on the inside, but it should pop out with the right pressure and patience. Hope that helps. Jon.
