If I can't connect to either my NAS (via IP) or G5 with 10.5 via AppleTalk to remove files from a Classic Mac in question, I have an Adaptec PCI SCSI card with a 50-pin cable sticking out through an extra card slot in the back. That, and a standalone power supply with a Molex connector (like the type that ship with USB-SATA adapters) and I can get anything I need off. Without paying an arm and a leg for one of the very few USB SCSI adapters I've seen floating around the Internet, the PCI card is a much more economical solution, and easier to find. I see them at my local computer thrift store fairly often.
