And you get the same results on any Mac running
a monitor that isn't fixed resolution. 72DPI goes
back to the days of dot matrix printers. Apple
made their monitors a fixed resolution so that
what you saw on screen would print at exactly the
same size. As graphics and publishing software has
developed and printers have neared 2000 DPI, the
need to have the screen image size exactly match the
print size has all but vanished.
