Speaking of vertical tubes, what ever happened to the concept of
monitors that supported display of both "landscape" and "portrait"
images (e.g., Radius _________ (I can't recall what it was called).

Sure does. I've been confused by monitor resolution terminology since
I first started computing. Just when I was just starting to "almost"
make sense out of it (by jumping back and forth between 640 X 480,
800 X 600, and 1024 X 768 on my Wallstreet G3 PB) you came along and
posted this clear and concise explanation that put it all in
perspective.

Thanks.
