Finally got my old barracuda 2.1GB w/ OS 7.1, WP3.5e, and radius precisioncolor 24x in IIfx.
1. 40MHz really helped on processing power and backed by that accelerated I see decent quickdraw performance. 2. On scsi ESPECIALLY in IIfx is better developed compared to other Macs even the 8500 that I also have! I see this same way with peecees without busmastering support and ones that does have busmastering stuff, also ones that have UDMA does have busmaster feature not just for extra bandwidth. Even the very ancient ProDrive 80S (three platter HD) is snappy in this IIfx. Now, Question of the day: What other Macs that does have this DMA supported and high performance SCSI chipsets besides this IIfx? LC475 doesn't show this kind of SCSI performance that too many Macs sufffers from this even 8500 suffered from this. This is how I see this way.
