Quadra 900 and Quadra 950. Along with the IIfx, they are the only Macs to have the IOP (Input Output Processor) chips. The Serial Switch control panel is only for those three Macs. What it does is switch the serial ports to a slower mode that works like all the other Mac serial ports for the oddball app that violates the Mac protocols and goes for direct port access instead of using system calls. If you're not using any such app, leave Serial Switch in the faster mode setting. :) ===== http://www.junkscience.com "All the Junk that's fit to Debunk!" __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
