Yes. But my DNS is on an LCIII that is buried under a 17" monitor.

Yes, this will work fine, until I take the iBook off the network to go
somewhere, leaving the rest of the network with no DNS, DHCP server or
intranet. I know it might not be a big issue to most ppl but I'm doing
this to learn how TCP/IP works and also as a dry run so I can set my up
ADSL over a LAN using a PCI PowerMac when my dad eventually gets it so I
don't have to share an ADSL modem. Obviously it won;t be such a cowboy
effort and all the services will all be on one machine but these awkward
things teach me the real grit about networking.

Actually we used to share one modem between 4 ppl in our house at
university and it was OK until someone downloaded something :). Then we
got ADSL....
