Well, my 6500 doesn't support multiple IDE devices, so I doubt a 6400 does. 
I don't even know where I'd plug in a multiple-header cable since the one 
IDE ribbon is wired into the wiring harness.

I believe, as another lister pointed out, it was the Rev B. Beige G3 that 
was the first, though I also seem to recall some issues on the Rev. A B&Ws
