Auto-inject mechs fits all Macs that uses them and nearly
all compacts. The outer shell is only the difference. Change that
shell to another with philips number 2 screwdriver. Get a quality
screwdriver! Press hard while loosening those screws.
Manual-inject doesn't fit in all old compacts and some Macs depending
on case design.

Reason stripped those screws: wrong size (usually #1 (easy to see
why) or bad quality philips screwdrivers (poor fit) or worn out very
easy to cam out then will chew up the "+") Doesn't take much wear to
slip out. Bad quality screwdrivers doesn't fit well and
non-hardened that it wears away fast that it looks ok but slips out
and ruin those heads.

Remember: doesn't take much effort to ruin any screw heads with
sightly worn tools.

I know because I'm doing repairs for years and I really appreciate
quality screwsdrivers.

Cheers,

Wizard
