But is the Applied Engineering boar a PDS _extender_
or is it a _converter_ so IIci cache/PDS cards can
be installed in the IIsi?

DayStar did make an adaptor specifically for
installing
the 030 PowerCache in an SE/30. Bit of a bugger
to find that adaptor these days though.
