I'm trying to use a 500MB hard disk (internal) with my Mac IIci, but the
Mac really doesn't want to "see" it.

I've tried booting from internal cdrom, from floppy, and from another
internal hard disk, but none of those tries worked.

It is NOT an ID problem. And maybe it is NOT a termination problem, since i
tried a lot (terminating only the last device, terminating both, none,
putting the scsi controller in the middle of two devices, etc. etc.).

The 500MB hard disk works without problem both on my PC and on
my Performa630 (here it was user externally using an adaptor).

Apple hd sc setup (patched) and a bunch of other programs CAN'T see it
(anyway it is formatted, i did it using the Performa630).

Actually i installed System 7.6 in the 500MB disk using Basilisk in my PC,
but if this won't work, i'd install it natively, if i somewhay manage to
let the Mac see both the hard disk and the cdrom.

I had a 80MB before, that worked (now i destroyed it :). Even using that
disk, the Mac wasn't able to see more than 1 internal scsi device (if i
booted from cd it didn't see the hard disk, if i booted from hard disk, it
couldn't see the cdrom).

Does somebody here know WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

AND there is another strange thing about this IIci: the startup sound.
Looks like it isn't the "normal" sound, and i've read somewhere it could be
an error message... how can i know what is wrong?

yes, i also tried with the a/ux hd sc setup 3.?

PS: i had some stupid problems subscribing... well i had an examination
today, so i'm a bit... tired?
