Could you give us a list of which CPs and extensions you are able to run with 7.1 and what version of Mac OS they are from? 7.1 will run on any of the LCs an is greatly faster. From my perspective alone it'd be very useful info for FlatPackMacs, and I'm sure also for people such as Gamba and pickle for their sites, as well as a great number besides. The only sticking point I see with using the 7.1 kernel as a base is that it doesn't support >2GB drives which might be a problem on Quadras with phat hard disks (mentions no names but hums a little tune as we are really on the wrong list ;) ). I am more thinking about running it on 040 machines as it is wkd fast on them and there is a system enabler for pretty much all of them AFIAK. -- Mark Benson AIM - SilValleyPirate Visit FlatPackMacs online: <http://fpm.gotdns.com> "Never send a human to do a machine's job." -The Matrix -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
