No kidding.

I hate redirected links or JavaScript links.

One excuse they often use is load balancing, but that's not valid.
Since they are already generating pages dynamically, they can still put
in real links and do load balancing.

The worst part is that sometimes you just want to tag files for download
overnight, and you can't with those non-direct links.
