Juha - I've thought about this myself. The motherboard itself will fit - however you'll need to figure out what to do about the power supply. It's about a half inch too tall to fit into the IIcx/IIci case. The other problem is that the 8100's processor sits right underneath where the power supply would go in the new case. The heat sink for the 601 makes the height issue that much worse. So you'd need to figure out a way to use a smaller power supply with the 8100 motherboard, and perhaps find a new way to cool the 601 with the heat sink removed.
Anyone know where one can find the pinouts for the motherboard power connector? Is the 7100 power supply similar enough to the 8100 to make a relatively easy transition? dustin On Thursday, January 16, 2003, at 12:53 AM, Juha Ylonen wrote: > > >> -----Original Message----- >> I did it!
