It seems to happen only occasionally and with files that seem to have to
similarity to the others that it happens to.

I already have OT 1.1.2 installed, but it won't let me connect over TCP/IP.
I used to have 7.5.5 on it, but it ran too slow for comfort. Which version
of AppleShare IP Client do you speak of?
