I have been using a quadra 700 for some time and needed to upgrade to 
7.5.5 to install the required appleshare ip client (it is on 
ftp.apple.com, I don't know the exact version number, but it is the 
the same one as used in mac os 8). With a 68040 the step from 7.1 to 
7.5.5 isn't that large (only startups slow down), but with a IIsi 
this is of course a different matter...
