Hello,

I recently picked up a IIci 32/80 for $5 at the local computer bone yard. It was
sold "as-is" without an explanation. I figured take a chance and get a cool old Mac
IIci, right? Well I took it home and hooked it up and hit the power key on the
keyboard.

Nothing happened.

Hmm, what is going on? I checked the rear little power dingleberry and it was in
the correct "out" position and again tried the soft power. Nothing. So I sat and
wondered and looked around for the IIx owners manual I have to see what it said
about the little power switch dingleberry in the back and after a few minutes I hit
the power key not expecting anything and "chime" it powered up! Yay! IIci baby,
yeah!

Anyway, it works well when it will turn on. I installed an Asante Ethernet card and
booted it up with a connection to my G4 and transferred a few things, then turned it
off to do other stuff and later it wouldn't turn on again so I gave up.

Any ideas? Could this be that nasty battery on the motherboard that is sodered on
there?

Thanks!!

Dave
